     The term "garage start-up" is often used to describe companies with humble beginnings - whether they really started in a garage or not.
     But in the case of Novelty Toy Shop, the garage was actually a stepping stone from a mere subterranean beginning.

     In April of 2001, our then 6 year old T.J. received a toy called a Polly pocket for her birthday. Fascinated with the toy and looking to spend
     some additional birthday money, she went online with her mum Vicki to see if they could buy more in the set. Discovering how difficult it
     was to find it online and when found how expensive it was, Vicki suggested to T.J' s father Chris, a web developer by trade, that they create
     their own online store to sell specialty toys and at affordable prices. The rest, as they say, is history!

     Shipping the toys out of the garage of their home in Sydney Australia, this unlikely online toy store managed to challenge the likes of
     big companies to become one of the largest online retailers of toys in the world. Quickly outgrowing the garage, the family moved the
     entire operation several times before finally settling into a warehouse that they continue to operate from today. The Garage is still
     operational to for local pick ups and that the general public can view the range of items available from NTS, call us sentimental but its
     where it all began and this way Vicki has been able to remain at home and care for our 4 daughters.

     Novelty Toy Shop has grown in other ways too. Beginning with a single online store focused exclusively on novelty  toys, NTS now boasts
     over 2,500 different toys, in addition we stock the Latest Crazes and for the Gamers we have X-Box, X-Box360 , PS2, PS3, Game Cube,
     Game Boy Advance consoles and games for distribution from our  warehouse.

     In an era where many toy companies have struggled and failed, Novelty Toy Shop is proof that quality products, hard work, customer care
     fair prices and Australian hospitality can be a truly powerful combination in today's business world.
